Objective:
Engage in a one-on-one online role playing interview with the instructor. You will be prompted with random questions from various restaurant settings learned throughout the course. You will be asked to play both roles: customer and waiter/waitress. The interview will take about 5 minutes.

Instructions:

  1. Schedule the meeting:
    • Sign up for a time slot for your role-play session with your instructor.
  2. Prepare for the role play:
    • Review the lesson content on restaurant interactions
    • Focus on practicing common phrases and responses used in the speaking practice.
    • It would be a great idea to go through your video script again and get comfortable playing each role!
  3. Assessment: the instructor will assess your performance based on:
    • Listening skills: ability to understand and respond appropriately
    • Speaking skills: clearity, fluency and correctness of language use
    • Confidence: confidence in handling various scenarios
  4. Follow-up:
    • The instructor will provide feedback on your performance after the session
